Brazil’s currency, the real, has gone from one of the best performing foreign currencies against the U.S. dollar, to the worst in a matter of three months. The real was as strong as R$1.65 in late February only to fall below R$2 to the dollar last week. Today was the Facebook IPO. And we hate to say we told you so. Buttttt... The IPO was a major FLOP. The only people who benefited were Zuckerberg and his homies. The retail stock holder (you) got scraps. Honestly Facebook has no business model. It's all bullsh*t .. WHAT DO THEY SELL? How will they monetize mobile? Which type of hedge fund do you prefer? Closed-End or Open-Ended? I prefer Closed-End. A hedge fund can be open or closed-ended. If it is a closed-end fund, the number of available fund shares are fixed. For example, a new hedge fund (i.e TAY Capital) may offer 10,000 shares for sale in an initial public offering (IPO). The proceeds of the IPO are then invested by the hedge fund manager. Investors can buy and sell shares to other investors, but the company cannot increase or decrease the number of shares. Today is day 1 of Facebooks road to IPO roadshow. What is a roadshow? In a nutshell it's the final stretch for a company that is about to start trading shares on a stock exchange. Its the companies change to convince investors that it's worth the investment. We said it before and we will say it again.. Facebook has no real business model, it's freeloading users are wishey washey and delusional and the CEO is not profit focused. Why would ANY investor invest in a company that is not focused on profits. Profits is all that investors care about. This is not charity this is business. Maybe Facebook should become a non profit and stop wasting everyone's time . Leave investors money for profit focused companies that cater to consumers online and mobile. Profits are not evil..
